Miller Electric Manufacturing Company is the welding industry leader in product innovation and expertise that meets critical needs for welding safety and health.

Miller partnered with Hanson Dodge to launch a global Sitecore website, which needed to focus on delivering a user-friendly digital brand experience driven by the needs of professional welders. The new site also needed to have e-commerce capabilities, integrate with a large product information management (PIM) system and become a source of knowledge to help welders elevate their craft.

Becoming the online source for the welding community

Hanson Dodge uncovered compellng data that told us the new site not only needed to appeal to professional welders, but also the do-it-yourself (DIY) welder, a critical, untapped audience. Guided by this insight, we implemented a project gallery feature titled "We Build"—a community hub for welders of all skill levels that allows them to engage with the brand and share what they've built using Miller products.

By managing all website content through a Sitecore CMS and e-commerce module, the new website was capable of handling an abundant amount of products and resources to assist customers in all of their welding and electric needs. Step-by-step manuals and handbooks for welding and safety became important pieces of content, and customers could easily find and access their products with a “Where to Buy” feature.
