Earlier this month, VISIT Milwaukee’s redesigned website was recognized as a Platinum winner of the dotCOMM Awards. Created via a collaborative effort between Hanson Dodge and VISIT Milwaukee, the site won for website design in the Travel category. The Platinum designation is dotCOMM’s highest award.
Hanson Dodge’s work with VISIT Milwaukee focused on elevating the perception of Milwaukee by highlighting the city’s wonderfully random spirit and eclectic set of offerings. The redesigned website provides users with powerful and engaging new tools, including a trip planning shopping cart system, a virtual slot-machine “randomizer,” and an interactive neighborhood tour functionality that makes it easy for users to explore and discover the city as they plan their visits.
“Hanson Dodge brought great strategic vision and creativity to the project,” said Megan Suardini, vice president of marketing & communications for VISIT Milwaukee. “The new website truly captures the essence of the city and allows VISIT Milwaukee to represent the region to meeting planners, visitors, and media, with the goal being to drive additional tourism dollars and increase economic impact within the region.”
