As mentioned by Journal Sentinel, Biz Times, and Milwaukee Business Journal.
Stacie Boney has been named president of Hanson Dodge, succeeding Tim Dodge, who is now CEO of the award-winning, integrated marketing agency.
Boney, who joined Hanson Dodge in October 2016, previously was its executive vice president of client leadership. Prior to that, she was a senior executive at Energy BBDO in Chicago for two decades, leading accounts such as Wm. Wrigley Jr. Company, Sara Lee, Henkel Corporation (formerly Dial Corp) and SC Johnson.
“Business transformation through creativity is what excites me. In Hanson Dodge I found a creatively driven, founder-led agency that was serious about growth,” she said. “I was also attracted by Hanson Dodge’s talent level and award-winning culture.”
Boney said she’s looking forward to the next chapter in Hanson Dodge’s story, and to continuing to provide measurable ways to create business value for clients.
“We have evolved the use of technology and data so we can prove that strong creative ideas can drive value,” she said. “Hanson Dodge’s ability to help clients at the intersection of branding, marketing, technology and e-commerce enables us to deliver business results that elude many other agencies.”
The leadership changes are part of the agency’s long-term plan for growth. As CEO, Dodge will focus on his passion for continually innovating the agency’s offerings to meet the changing needs of clients, while Boney will work to drive excellence across all areas of the agency’s work for clients.
Dodge is confident Boney will drive the desired expansion at Hanson Dodge. “Stacie has a tremendous record of helping to grow a highly regarded agency like BBDO. She’s shown how you can take an agency through accelerated growth and has done so with very large clients. She has the ability to lead problem-solving across many categories, especially consumer packaged goods, and understands how to best serve larger clients.”
Hanson Dodge already has embarked on growth. During the last quarter of 2017, it added new accounts that include national clients Stanley PMI of Seattle, which makes food and beverage containers, 800-CEO-Read, and InPro, as well as local brand VISIT Milwaukee.
“Over the past 30 years, we’ve built a reputation as an integrated agency serving active lifestyle brands. What we really excel at now is delivering holistic marketing solutions to midmarket challenger brands who have the gumption to win,” Dodge said.
The agency’s plans call for further expanding its digital solutions, attracting and retaining top talent, and pursuing additional clients.
Dodge has been a longtime leader at the agency since partnering with former CEO Ken Hanson in 1991 on what was then known as Hanson Graphic. Dodge’s understanding of how to create business growth and value through innovative marketing solutions has helped shaped the company’s unique blend of integrated branding, marketing, technology and e-commerce solutions.
